Between April 10 and 16, joint operations by the military and security agencies in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna, Niger, Kwara, and the FCT led to the death of several insurgents, arrests of suspects, and the rescue of 17 kidnapped victims.
“Kaura was among many terrorists neutralized during engagements in multiple locations,” said Maj. Gen. Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations. The operations targeted areas such as Anka, Tsafe, Kaura Namoda, Maru (Zamfara), and parts of Sokoto, Kaduna, and Niger States.
In the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe intercepted oil theft valued at over ₦262.7 million. Recovered items included over 117,000 litres of stolen crude, refined products, illegal refining equipment, vehicles, boats, and communication devices.
