The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N65.00. Effective Thursday, February 27, 2025, the price will drop from N890 to N825 per litre, according to a statement from the refinery.
This move is aimed at providing relief to Nigerians ahead of the upcoming Ramadan season.
The statement reads: “Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of PMS by N65.00, from N890 to N825 per litre, effective from 27th February 2025. This price adjustment is designed to ease the financial burden on Nigerians while supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery policies.”
Dangote further emphasized its ongoing commitment to reducing the prices of petrol and other refined products. This marks the second reduction of PMS prices in February 2025, following a previous N60.00 decrease earlier in the month.
With this latest adjustment, petrol at Dangote stations will be priced as follows:
MRS Holdings stations: N860 per litre in Lagos, N870 per litre in the South-West, N880 per litre in the North, and N890 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
In December 2024, the refinery had already lowered the price of petrol by N70.50, from N970 to N899.50 per litre.
