Delta LG Chair Takes Proactive Mesures Against Cholera Outbreak

Bomadi, Delta State – The Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State, Rawlings Andaye, has distributed free drugs to all primary healthcare centers across the council area to prevent the spread of cholera.

According to the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Adaka Amameniye, the council boss deemed it expedient to curb the spread of the disease by swiftly providing medications free of charge to all primary healthcare facilities.

The council boss has also ordered free treatment for patients in all healthcare facilities in case of any emergency arising from the disease.

The Chief Matron at the Kpakiama Primary Healthcare Centre, Eunice Edonkumoh, expressed gratitude to the council chairman for his swift action.

The distribution of the free drugs is ongoing to the various healthcare facilities in the communities through the respective health officers.

The proactive measures come as cholera cases have been recorded in various communities in the council area, including Esanma, Ogriagbene, Akugbene, and Kpakiama.
