The White House has shared a 41-second clip on social media depicting undocumented immigrants being shackled and led onto a deportation flight departing from Seattle.
The video, titled “ASMR: Illegal Alien Deportation Flight,” includes close-up footage of chains and handcuffs on the tarmac, with detainees walking while their hands and ankles are restrained.
One segment shows a person walking past an officer, with hands cuffed in front and ankles chained. Additional shots focus on a man’s handcuffs being secured, a detainee’s feet in chains as they climb the stairs to the plane, and another preparing to board. The faces of those being deported remain out of view.
Since taking office, President Donald Trump has significantly ramped up deportation efforts as part of his immigration agenda. Thousands of undocumented immigrants have already been removed, including over 300 Indian nationals. Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, reaffirmed the administration’s stance on tougher immigration enforcement, stating that he won’t rest until every “illegal criminal migrant” is “eradicated” from the U.S. He also claimed that illegal border crossings have decreased under Trump’s leadership.
In response to the video, Elon Musk, a senior advisor to Trump, expressed his approval with a simple comment: “Haha wow.”
