In a bid to drive digital transformation and economic growth, Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has partnered with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

The collaboration aims to address the slow adoption of digital solutions among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a critical challenge that has hindered Nigeria’s economic growth.

According to the partnership agreement, Flutterwave and NITDA will work together to promote digital literacy, encourage fintech innovation, and support key national initiatives such as the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS).

Speaking on the partnership, Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola, said, “Many small businesses in Nigeria struggle to fully embrace digital solutions, and we believe that by providing seamless and secure payment technologies, we can empower them to scale with confidence.”

The Director General/CEO of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, also stated that Flutterwave’s reputation for fintech innovation aligns perfectly with NITDA’s vision for a thriving digital economy.

The partnership is expected to drive economic growth, create job opportunities, and ensure inclusive access to the benefits of a digital economy.
