An AI-generated video of former President Donald Trump sucking Elon Musk’s toes, shown at the headquarters of a US government agency, has prompted an investigation. The video was briefly displayed on screens at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on Monday, according to the New York Times.

The footage mocked Trump’s close ties with Musk, the world’s richest person, who oversees the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and is tasked with reducing federal staff and spending.

The video included a caption reading “Long Live the Real King,” referencing Trump’s post on Truth Social celebrating the cancellation of New York City’s congestion pricing plan. A HUD spokesperson condemned the incident as an abuse of taxpayer resources and stated that an investigation would be conducted, with those responsible facing potential dismissal.

The video, which appears to have been created using AI, was shown the same day that Musk set a deadline for federal workers to email their work accomplishments. The deadline led to confusion among an already anxious workforce, as some federal agencies, including those led by Trump loyalists, advised staff to disregard the request temporarily. Musk later posted on his social media platform, X, offering federal workers “another chance” to justify their work or face job loss.

In response, the Democratic House Committee on Financial Services commented on X, “Not all heroes wear capes.”
