Enoch Ganogbe, a bricklayer, has developed hypertension after his daughter, Abigail Ganogbe, and granddaughter, Yenukunme Ajovi, vanished without a trace. The two have been missing since January 2015, and it remains unclear whether they were abducted or simply disappeared in the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Speaking with Sunday PUNCH, Enoch shared how the ongoing mystery has taken a significant toll on his health, leading to constant stress and ultimately hypertension. “Sometimes, I worry about how much this is affecting my health. I just pray it doesn’t take my life,” he said.

Enoch described his daughter as a caring person who had always been there for him. “She was helping out in so many ways. She’s a really good person and does a lot for me. I haven’t felt any joy or peace since she went missing. I’ve searched everywhere and asked everyone I could, but nothing has led me to her. At this point, I can only leave it in God’s hands, hoping that someday, I’ll find her.”

Before their disappearance, he noted that Abigail had a disagreement with her husband, but it was resolved with family help. Enoch also mentioned that Abigail’s husband, Noah Ajovi, had reported her disappearance to the police, though no progress has been made. “Since then, my life hasn’t been the same,” he added.

Noah Ajovi, Abigail’s husband, described the disappearance as a devastating loss. “I spent 10 years of my life with her before we got married in 2011, and now she’s gone, along with our daughter. All I want now is to find my daughter. If I can see her, I’ll feel that what I invested 10 years of my life into still exists,” he explained.

He also clarified that his wife left home in January 2015 while he was traveling. “Whenever we have issues, she always leaves the house. But we haven’t seen her since. I reported the matter to the police, but we’re not sure if they were kidnapped.”

Attempts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, for comment were unsuccessful.
