The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that registration for the 2025 Hajj remains open, despite earlier deadlines.
According to NAHCON, the commission has secured over 52,000 slots for Nigerian pilgrims, exceeding the initial allocation of 95,000 slots by the Saudi Arabian authority.
As a result, NAHCON has urged all intending pilgrims who have yet to complete their fare payments to do so as soon as possible to secure their places. The commission warned that once all slots are filled, no additional payments will be accepted.
The registration deadline had been extended several times, with the latest deadline being February 10. However, NAHCON has now announced that registration will remain open until all available slots are filled.
Intending pilgrims are advised to complete their payments promptly to avoid missing out on the opportunity to perform the Hajj in 2025.
NAHCON had earlier announced that it had successfully secured over 52,000 spaces for Nigerian pilgrims at the Masha’ir (holy sites of Muna, Arafat, and Muzdalifah) for this year’s Hajj.
The commission had also stated that securing the 52,000 space at the Masha’ir was a proactive move aimed at meeting the February 14 deadline set by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for finalizing contract agreements by participating countries before the closure of the Nusuk Masar contracts’ portal.
The contract agreement is an essential requirement for uploading visas, which had commenced on February 19.
With the registration deadline now extended, intending pilgrims are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to perform the Hajj in 2025.
