April is looking like a fantastic month for Nollywood lovers! Whatever genre you enjoy, there seems to be something for everyone this month.

With some of the movies hitting cinemas and streaming platforms, each would bring audiences fresh and exciting stories.

Here are some Nollywood movies and series coming to you this April.

  1. Recall

The month of April will kick off for Nollywood, and the release of Recall will be tomorrow. Goke’s life takes a shocking turn when his wife, Anita, wakes up one morning with no memory of him or their children. She doesn’t recognise their home, their love, or the life they’ve built together.

At first, he believes it’s a minor medical issue, but as he digs deeper, dark secrets begin to surface. Secrets that could change everything. Kunle Afolayan directs this emotional rollercoaster starring Sharon Ooja, Bimbo Akintola, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and more. Recall promises to keep audiences glued to their seats when it hits cinemas on April 4, 2025.

  1. A Lagos Love Story

KK, an Afrobeats superstar, has everything – fame, money, and a wild lifestyle. But when he unexpectedly falls for his hardworking assistant, things get complicated. Can love survive the pressures of fame, jealousy, and self-doubt?

Directed by Naz Onuzo, this romantic film stars Mike Afolarin, Jemima Osunde, Susan Pwajok, Uche Montana, Chimezie Imo, Veeiye, Linda Ejiofor Suleman and more. A Lagos Love Story will be available to stream on Netflix starting April 11, 2025.

  1. Radio Voice

A woman with a troubled past finds hope in the most unexpected place – a struggling radio station. As she tries to rebuild her life, she must confront old wounds and decide whether she’s ready for a fresh start.

Executive-produced by Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) and starring RMD, Nancy Isime, Nse-Ikpe Etim and Timini Egbuson, Radio Voice will be released in cinemas nationwide on April 11, 2025.

  1. Family Brouhaha

What happens when family secrets explode? In Family Brouhaha, long-buried tensions resurface, shaking up relationships and testing bonds. But amid the chaos, there’s humour, heart, and a few surprises.

With a star-studded cast including Joke Silva, Tina Mba, Wale Ojo, Gabriel Afolayan, Timini Egbuson, and more, this drama lands in cinemas on April 11, 2025.

  1. Aso Ebi Diaries

Weddings in Nigeria aren’t just about love but family, friendships, and drama! Aso Ebi Diaries follows a group of friends as they navigate life, love, and cultural expectations, all while attending glamorous weddings.

Directed by Biodun Stephen and featuring Shaffy Bello, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Nancy Isime, this vibrant film will premiere in cinemas on April 18, 2025.

  1. Makemation

A young girl from a small town dreams of changing the world. Using her love for artificial intelligence and technology, she tackles big problems and proves that innovation can come from anywhere – even the most unexpected places.

Directed by Michael “Ama Psalmist” Akinrogunde, the movie features Tomi Ojo, Ibrahim Chatta, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chioma Chukwuka, Ali Nuhu, Yvonne Jegede, and Shaffy Bello. Makemation premieres in cinemas on April 18, 2025.

  1. Owambe Thieves

A struggling couple, Cheta and Lola, are desperate to provide for their newborn. With no options left, they come up with a risky plan – robbing extravagant Lagos weddings. But their scheme quickly spirals out of control.

Produced by Eniola Ajao and directed by Adeoluwa Owu of A Tribe Called Judah and features Eniola Ajao, Zubby Micheal, Sola Sobowale, Chimezie Imo and more. Owambe Thieves is set to bring suspense and drama to cinemas on April 18, 2025.

  1. Landline

Death isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning… again. Landline is a thriller that explores a world where the afterlife and reality collide. Strange calls, eerie encounters, and a mystery waiting to be unraveled, this film is one to watch.

Directed by Dele Doherty, Landline stars Gabriella Kingsley, Zainab Balogun, and Bucci Franklin. It will be available on Prime Video from April 25, 2025.
