OPEC Lowers 2025 US Oil Production Forecast

OPEC has revised its 2025 forecast for U.S. oil and condensate production, reducing the expected growth by 50,000 barrels per day. The updated forecast now anticipates an increase of 240,000 barrels per day, bringing the total to 13.47 million barrels per day, as per the latest report released on Wednesday.

The report’s data indicates that U.S. production in 2024 averaged 13.23 million barrels per day, marking an increase of 290,000 barrels per day compared to the previous year.

Looking ahead to 2026, OPEC projects that U.S. oil and condensate production will rise by 170,000 barrels per day annually, reaching an average of 13.64 million barrels per day.
