A disturbing incident involving ride-hailing service inDrive has sparked concerns over passenger safety. Tobi Afolabi, a passenger, took to social media to allege harassment and death threats by an inDrive driver and his associates after leaving a negative review.

According to Afolabi’s tweets, the incident began when she left a two-star review for the driver, stating that he didn’t listen to her route instructions and was impolite. The driver allegedly responded with threatening messages, including a reference to people sleeping and not waking up.

Afolabi shared screenshots of the WhatsApp conversation, which showed the driver’s menacing tone. She also revealed that she had been receiving threatening messages and calls from others she suspected to be the driver’s colleagues.

inDrive responded to Afolabi’s viral post, stating that they have a zero-tolerance policy for unethical driver behavior and would take immediate action against the driver. The company also emphasized the safety of their users as their top priority.

This incident raises concerns about the safety and accountability of ride-hailing services in Nigeria. It also highlights the importance of companies taking swift action against drivers who engage in harassment or other forms of misconduct.
