Vice President Kashim Shettima has pledged that the current administration will tackle corruption, fix the economy, and improve security in Nigeria. Shettima’s speech was part of the national conference on strengthening democracy inAbuja, which was organized by the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development. In a related development, former Ghanaian Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia emphasized the importance of democracy in guaranteeing individual liberties and rights. He noted that for democracy to thrive, the ambition for the country must supersede personal ambition.
