One scene features an immigrant walking past an officer with his hands cuffed in front of him and ankles bound by a chain. Other shots show a close-up of handcuffs being secured, a detainee’s chained feet as they climb the stairs to the plane, and a man preparing to board. The faces of the detainees are not shown.
The video’s tone and the White House’s caption reflect the Trump administration’s focus on large-scale deportations, a stance eagerly supported by his followers.
Since President Donald Trump took office on January 20, he has intensified deportations as part of his immigration policy. Thousands of undocumented immigrants have been removed, including over 300 Indian nationals.
Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, has reiterated the administration’s commitment to deportations, declaring he will not stop until every “illegal criminal migrant” is “eradicated” from the U.S. He also claimed that illegal border crossings have decreased under Trump compared to previous years.
